What I Learned Web 2.0

Cyberspace changes daily
Links in the Web 2.0 Discovery exercise need to be verified before the next session
I found some new tools, new resources, new means of communicating and connecting with folks with similar interests.
Not being a text myself I don't do alot of twitting but I see the function of these instant messaging tools.

In doing some market research I've found a company building multi-layer integrated websites where clicking on a link will pull up enriched content - video, photos, etc, podcasts for the end user. sO THE TECHNOLOGY CONTINUES TO EVOLVE AND GROW INTO NEW VEHICLES OF COMMUNICATION - And I learned that blogging with workflows open leads to interesting Blog posts.

I think it was a good idea for staff to go through this process for the exposure to the new technolgy and to help bring the language of the web into the workplace. I found myself assisting other employees in simple exercises like copying/pasting from one screen/field to the next ... so we all learned something.

Download of electronic items is not available from library computers.

This is the error I received when attempting to download at work... Will try again at 0900.

Also this one - The download limit for this title has been reached - And I really want to know why French Women Don't Get Fat -

This takes alot less overhead to move around books and other items - seems the Library purchases a bunch of heavy stuff that sits around anyway... Good reason to buy twice as many computers and relieve 1/2 the clerical staff, sorters and drivers, it eliminates a portion of the holds process -

Podcasting for Shrimp in the St. Johns River

I found some feeds -
I added NPR to my bloglines - "Bloglines" - while listening to a podcast from "This week in Tech" and a discussion on the new IPOD, blogging, microblogging, twittering, and designed obsolesence in the ergonomics of mp3 players.

ALso in the discussion they're discssing the death of the Pandoras music service because of royalty fees and this reminds me of how quickly these internet companies, services, tools, apps change evolve are run out of town, bought out, or shut down. Intriguing too are the commercials and I wonder about the poor sales rep out there fresh from his business degree trying to sell.. air.

I hope I can find some more podcasts about... fishing or shrimping or living throug hurricanes and sweltering humidity
