Wiki Revisited - What's Old Is New And

What's new is old - Way Back before most people even knew what i/o signals meant there were BBS's - Bulletin Board Services where we (dinosaurs of the internet) could post our information and share a common pool of information via our Haynes 9600 Baud Rate Modems ... Now that the rest of the world has caught up with the technology of 30 years ago maybe we can get some work done.

I Wikified the JPL Wiki and added my favorite local staycation spots

Does anyone remember when YAHOO! a single web page with links ? And AOL was the first "Instant Messaging" service? I've belonged to a global social network for the last 10 years called ART CHAT - A "room" in Yahoo's chat world where artists from around the world have shared countless hours of images, videos and conversations on any and all subjects including but not limied to artistic subjects - Many names have come and gone, but there remain a core group of "regulars" and folks who return after long absences - I've me tsome folks in real life from this room and maintain solid friendships with others; people have married from this room and travelled around the world to discover their cybersoul mates.

For the previous 7 years I've also belonged to http://www.saabnet.com - a Wiki of sorts for enthusiasts of Saabs. Saabnet includes technical diagrams, photographs and volumes of hands on experience tips and mistakes by novices and experts alike - It represents an unmoderated Wiki in that sometimes considerable sifting through rubbish is required to discover real information.
